Much easier than using string lines to align stirrups first!
4) erm... i think the bearers are about 1m apart, but can't remember exactly. There are framing guidelines published that tell you maximum span distances depending on your bearer & joist dimensions.T&Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13444351220885130201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-475803884920956551.post-79164134266050155172016-02-12T19:01:03.285+11:002016-02-12T19:01:03.285+11:00Thanks jascha, cant remember prices as it was 5 ye...Thanks jascha, cant remember prices as it was 5 years ago, but you do need council approval for a wide crossover. I know it's been a while, but do you remember how much you've got quoted from the concreter to get your crossover widen to full width? Based on your DIY attempt at your decking (and a very successful DIY I should add), I did my own as well. Have finished the rear deck and now almost completed the front. Amazing what you can acheive yourself with some planning and research! It's not difficult just hard work! Unfortunately we weren't aware of the beading/scotia and are not very happy with it, particularly around our island bench, which has 2 waterfall edges and looks ridiculous! What did you guys do around the kitchen benches? I wish we had known this before as we would have paid for proper hardwood had we known or went with tiles to avoid this ugly scotia! What is your opinion if we don't like the selection of entry doors. Do you think it's worth it to get a double door that's the same size as the doors we have in mind? After that give it a hose down. After its dry you can apply the oil or stain. This stops you having to wait a few months for the tannin's to naturally lech out. Alternatively there is an amazing timber protectant called Cutek CD50 that i now use on all my decks. Very helpful.

We are currently thinking of buying a block (abt 15.2m for W) at Whitehorse area and building our dream home. As always, budget is the biggest concern so we probably won't able to build with M. Like the Camden floor plan of Carlisle and noted that the standard inclusion in the Essential series (prob equivalent as M's Allegra series?) does not provide much.

So I am thinking of checking with you the Nolan that you signed up with M was under which series so that I can budget my cost better. If yours was already at the top of the range and we should add another $100k for upgrades, I think we better drop the idea of building our dream home. (sad but reality is always cruel....)

Thanks again for sharing

GAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
